New York man entitled to workers' compensation for PTSD

Employees face a variety of harms in the workplace. When a worker is injured or suffers from an illness as a result of their job, the worker may be entitled to workers' compensation. Recently, a New York court ruled that a former supermarket manager was entitled to workers' compensation after his job triggered PTSD that he developed during the Vietnam War.

New York firefighter killed on duty

Workplace accidents are common in New York. They will often result in injuries to workers -- in both private and public jobs. A lot of the time the injuries are not severe and only require minimum treatment. However, in other cases, workers and their families are not so lucky and the accident results in a fatality.

New York worker injured in accident at construction site

Recently, a New York construction worker was injured while building a grocery store. According to reports, the worker was placing concrete 25 feet below ground level when he hit himself with a hose. Firefighters were called and were able to rescue the worker following the 11:30 a.m. injury. The man was taken to a local hospital. He was listed in stable, but serious condition.
